Removing Valve
10. Remove the 8 screws securing the valve tray
assembly in place (Diagram 6) and then lift out
entire assembly.
1. Shut off the gas and electrical supply.
2. Remove the safety screen.
3. Remove the glass door.
4. Remove the logs and glass.
5. Remove the log grate assembly by removing 2
screws and sliding tray forward to remove.

Diagram 2: Slide burner assembly to the
right—then remove.
8. Remove 2 screws securing the light assembly
(Diagram 3) and rotate the assembly counter-
clockwise (Diagram 4).

Installing Valve
1. Place new valve tray into position
2. Reinstall the 8 hold down screws.
3. Hook up the EV1 and EV2 wires to the appropri-
ate connections on the valve.
4. Install the burner assembly
5. Hook up the gas line and check for gas leaks
with a soap and water solution or a gas leak
detector. (Do not use open flame for leak testing.)
6. Fire up the unit temporarily
7. Check the manifold pressure.
8. Reinstall the log grate, logs, and inner panels
as needed.
9. Reinstall the door and screen door.
10. Fire up the unit again and check for proper flame
appearance and glow on logs.
6. Remove lower (brick or enamel) panel.
7. Slide the burner assembly to the right to release
it from the orifice, then lift it out.
9. Disconnect the inlet gas line.
10. Disconnect the EV1, EV2, and ground wires
from the valve - as shown below.
