accompanied by a vibration on the
steering wheel.
When the "Operation on broken line"
setting is not selected, the function
sounds the alarmifthevehiclecross
es a broken line without activating the
directionlights,andthereisnoroad
side close enough to the line.
Inthiscase,thefunctionwarnsthedri
ver:
– by a vibration in the steering wheel;
and
– the warning light flashes in
white or, depending on the vehicle, the
warning light and the indicator 9
on the side of the crossed line change
to red on the instrument panel.
Note: on bends, the function allows for
slightly cutting the bend.
Special cases
– If the system is operating and does
not detect any activity on the steering
wheel,the"Keepcontrol"messageap
pearsontheinstrumentpanelaccom
panied by a beep and, depending on
the vehicle, the warninglightap
pearsinyellowuntilthedriverhasre
gained control of the vehicle.

– If the system has been in operation
fortoolong,the"Keepcontrol"mes
sage appears on the instrument panel
accompaniedbyabeepand,depend
ing on the vehicle, the warning
lightappearsinyellowandtheindica
tor 4 on the side of the line concerned
flashes until the driver has regained
control of the vehicle.
Youcaninterruptthetrajec
tory correction at any time
by moving the steering
wheel.

To access the function settings from
the multimedia screen 3 , refer to the
multimedia instructions:
– "Operation on broken line": use this
setting to select the response of the
function if the vehicle crosses a broken
linewithoutactivatingoneofthedirec
tion indicators:
– selected setting: the function may
trigger an action on the vehicle's
steeringsystemtocorrectthevehi
cle trajectory;
– setting not selected: the function
can warn the driver by means of a
vibrationatthesteeringwheelwith
out correcting the vehicle trajectory.
