XL laser calibration
Calibration certicate
Each XL laser is delivered with a calibration certicate. This demonstrates that
the system has been calibrated at the Renishaw factory against reference
systems with traceability to National Standards� It is proof of the equipment’s
performance as tested before delivery� Visit the Calibration product quality
and conformance webpage for more information�
The certicate is a valuable document and may be required to satisfy your
own or your customer’s quality assurance requirements�
Duplicate documents can be supplied at an additional charge�
Certicate content
Each certicate is unique and is identied by a certicate number. All XL laser
certicates provide the following key information:
• Serial number of calibrated XL laser
• Specic test results and graph
• Statement of accuracy
• Traceability data (calibration details, see below)
• Test conditions and methodology
The rst page gives graphical representation of test results and specication
limits, as well as tabulated details of the specic test results and uncertainty
of measurement� User can visually verify whether or not the unit meets
published specications and/or your own requirements. To enable traceability,
details of the test equipment used are given� The date of testing and the date
of printing the certicate are separately noted and the results are signed by a
Renishaw-authorised engineer�
The second page gives generic details of the test procedure, test
environment, and applicable standards, in accordance with ISO 17025�
