Testing, Calibration, and Performance Verification
7.3 Ventilator Run-in Perform the ventilator run-in procedure for at least 120 minutes to avoid
possible calibration failures.
Required equipment:
• Test orifice, BiPAP, 0.25-in. (P/N 332353)
Follow these steps:
1. Connect the test orifice to the ventilator outlet port.
2. Run the ventilator for at least 2 hours (120 minutes) before
performing the calibration at default settings:
S/T mode RR = 4/min
IPAP = 12 cmH

O I-Time = 1 sec
EPAP = 4 cmH
2
O Ramp Time = 0 min
Rise-Time = 2 Ramp Start = 4 cmH
