Duplex jam
(Paper does not
arrive at trailing
edge sensor.)
The paper did not reach the
trailing edge sensor for duplex
printing or exit for reversing, even
though the paper fed to the
prescribed position in the duplex
unit. Check for the paper inside
the duplex unit or the printer.
- Paper deformed by ink.
(Curl, wrinkling)
(1) If you see paper after opening the
rear cover of the duplex unit,
remove the paper.
(2) If there is no paper in the duplex unit,
open the top cover of the printer and
remove the paper from the output tray.
(3) After removing the paper jam, press
the [Paper Feed] button on the printer
operation panel (after printing the second
side of the sheet the next page will print
normally).
(1) If you see paper after opening the rear cover of
the duplex unit,
remove the paper.
2) If there is no paper in the duplex unit, open the
top cover of the printer and remove the paper from
the output tray.
(3) After removing the jam, press the [Paper Feed]
button on the printer.

Duplexing
During duplex printing, or during
paper exit for reversing, after
the registration sensor switched
on when the leading edge of the
paper was detected, even after
the paper fed the prescribed
distance, the trailing edge of the
paper did not pass the trailing
edge sensor. Check for the
paper inside the duplex unit or
the printer.

The paper was pulled in from the output
tray during reversing.
- The pape
r has jammed around the print
head because the paper has been
peeled away from the transport belt.
- Remove the duplex unit from the
printer, open the reverse guide.
- Remove the paper.
- After removing the jam, press the
[Paper Feed] button on the printer.
(1) Remove the duplex unit from the printer,
open the reverse guide.
- Remove the paper.
2) After removing the jam, press the [Paper
Feed] button on the printer.

Tray 1
During paper feed from Tray 1,
after the registration sensor
switched on when the leading
edge of the paper was detected,
even after the paper fed the
prescribed distance, the trailing
edge of the paper did not pass
the trailing edge sensor. Make
sure that there is no paper
inside the printer.
- Continuous paper feed.

The paper has jammed around the print
head because the paper has been
peeled away from the transport belt.
- Paper longer than that allowed by the
printer driver settings was fed.
(1) Pull the paper out of the output exit.
(2) Remove the duplex unit from the
printer, open the reverse guide.
- Remove the paper.

Bypass feed

Bypass
During bypass feed, the paper
feeds to the prescribed position,
but the registration sensor does
not detect the leading edge.
Make sure that there is no
paper inside the printer.
- Bypass pickup not working. (1) Reset the paper in bypass tray.
(2)- After removing the jam, press the
[Paper Feed] button on the printer.
(1) Reset the paper in bypass tray.
(2) After removing the jam, press the [Paper
Feed] button on the printer.
