Protecting Against Static Electricity
STATIC WARNING:
Before handling any of the components in the
computer, take precautions against damage
caused by static electricity on your body.
If you have an earthing wristband, attach it to the power supply
unit. Make sure that it is connected to a metal part of the power
supply unit and not to a label.
If you do not have an earthing wristband, always discharge any
static electricity which may have built up on your body before
touching any components. To do this, touch the unpainted metal
rear panel of the computer near the mains inlet.
If you take a break from working inside the computer, repeat the
above procedure before you restart. You need to discharge new
static which may have built up in your body.
