FDD Controller Failure
The BIOS is unable to communicate with the floppy disk drive
controller. Switch off the system and then check all the connections
going to the floppy disk drive, also check the connections to where
the cables go to on the cards. If this error message returns when
you switch on again, you may have a hardware problem and
should contact RM.
HDD Controller Failure
The BIOS is unable to communicate with the hard disk. Switch off
the system and then check the power and interface cables to the
drive. If this error message returns when you switch on again, you
may have a hardware problem and should contact RM.
C: Drive Error D: Drive Error
The BIOS is not receiving a response from either hard disk drive C
or D. Check the type of hard disk selected in Setup. Re-run the
auto-detect function in the Setup program (see page 79 for
information on the setup program).
C: Drive Failure D: Drive Failure
The BIOS is unable to obtain any response from either hard disk
drive C or D. You may have a serious problem with your hard disk
and should contact RM.
CMOS Time & Date Not Set
The time and/or date are not set. Run the Setup program (see
page 79) and set the date and time.
Diskette Boot Failure
Check the power and interface cables to the floppy disk drive.
Alternatively, the floppy disk is corrupt and cannot be used to start
up (boot) the system. Use another boot disk and follow the
instructions on the screen. Also check for viruses on your hard
disk.
