3 Preparing for use
Here, you can find basic information about setting up the instrument for the first
time or when changing the operating site. Read and observe the safety instruc-
tions in Chapter 1.1, "Safety instructions", on page 5, and in the following sec-
tions.
3.1 Unpacking the instrument
When you receive your shipping package, unpack and inspect the package and
its contents for damage.
1. Unpack the product carefully.
2. Retain the original packing material. Use it when transporting or shipping the
product later.
3. Using the delivery notes, check the equipment for completeness.
4. Check the equipment for damage.
If the delivery is incomplete or equipment is damaged, contact
Rohde & Schwarz.
Deliveries
The delivery package contains the following items:

R&S RTH handheld scope
●
MicroSD card, installed in the battery compartment
●
Power adapter with cable and adapter set for various socket types
●
Battery pack
●
R&S RT-ZI10 probes (2x for R&S RTH1002; 4x for R&S RTH1004)
●
DMM test leads (only for R&S RTH1002)
●
Hand strap, attached on the handheld scope
●
Printed "Getting Started" manual and "Safety Instructions" brochure
Optional accessories and their order numbers are listed in the specifications
document.
