¨ Remove the support plate from the axle by
unscrewing 4 Allen screws M8x70 (pos.
3).
Note: By turning the supportplate 90 °
anticlockwise it is not nescessary
to disconnect the electric shifting
assistant cable.
¨ Remove the gear cover by unscrewing 6
Allen screws M6x30 (pos. 4).
Note: If the gear cover is difficult to remove, it can be levered off at the separating lugs.
¨ Remove the primary drive gear (pos. 5)
(screwed to clutch drum) and secondary
gear (pos. 6) and fit the gear pair of your
choice.
Note: To allow fast exchange of gear
ratios we recommend you to carry
in stock various pre-assembled
clutch drums with the respective
primary drive gears.
At re-assembly proceed in reverse sequence. Tighten the screws to the following torque settings:
M6: 10 Nm (88 lbf. in.)
M8: 22 Nm (195 lbf. in.)
Note: To allow easier matching of primary and secondary gears please note: The sum of
the last digits of the teeth number must always be 7 or 17 (35 / 62).
