The carburetor jetting can be modified as follows:
¨ Remove fuel hose from carburetor inlet and pinch fuel hose so that no fuel can flow out of
the carburetor inlet.
¨ Loosen both hose clamps at carburetor socket and silencer socket and remove carburetor.
Attention: When removing the carburetor always hold it in vertical position to avoid flowing out
of fuel.
S Warning: Handle fuel only in well vented areas!
S Warning: When handling fuel do not handle with open light or fire. Fuel and fuel vapours are
easily inflammable and explosive!
S Warning: Fuel must not get in contact with hot engine parts or accessories – risk of
inflammation and explosion.
Attention: Do not spill fuel. Soak spilled fuel immediately with adequate absorbant material and
dispose of it environmentally friendly.
¨ Hold carburetor over a fuel-proof and clean
container and remove plug screw (pos.27)
and gasket (pos.26).
Note: The fuel drained from the float
chamber can be refilled into the fuel
tank if it is not contaminated.
¨ Remove main jet (pos.15) and jet cup
(pos.14).
Note: The size of the main jet is stamped at
its front side.
¨ Chose a main jet of the required size
(see Chart 1A or 1B).
¨ Fit jet cup (pos.14) in the position shown on
the illustration, and main jet (pos.15) of the
required size (see Chart 1A or 1B).
¨ Mount plug screw (pos.27) with gasket
(pos.26) and tighten it with manual force.
Note: When the carburetor is removed, the
position of the jet needle (3) can be
modified. The standard position of the
jet needle is at „position 2“.
