Client TCP/IP Communication Setup
1) From any page, click the TCP/IP Configuration button under the CONFIGURATION section.
If the Gateway is a Client Connecting to a Server Device
2) Enable: Check this box to enable any of the 10 possible ports.
a. The numbers are used internally to identify the various connections for the ASCII
Configuration section.
3) Client: Check the Client checkbox if the gateway is connecting to a TCP/IP Server device.
4) IP Address: Enter the IP address of the Server that the gateway will open a TCP/IP Connection
to.
a. The combination of IP Address and TCP/IP Port must match the device exactly in order
for the gateway to open a connection.
5) TCP Port: Enter the TCP/IP Port Number that the Server is communicating on.
a. The combination of IP Address and TCP/IP Port must match the device exactly in order
for the gateway to open a connection.
6) Inactivity Timeout: Enter the amount of time in seconds that the gateway will wait idle before
closing the connection.
7) Reconnect Delay: Enter the amount of time in seconds that the gateway will wait before
attempting to reestablish a connection to the Server device.
