• DIS (Digital Image Stabilizer)
+ The DIS function works in CAMERA mode only.
+ DIS(Digital Image Stabilizer) is a handshake compensation function that compensates for any shakingor
movingof the hand holding the camcorder (within reasonablelimits).
+ It provides more stable pictures when:
• Recording with the Zoom
• Recording a small object close-up
• Recording and walking at the same time
• Recording through the window of a vehicle
1. Setthe camcorder to CAMERAmode.
2. Press the MENU ON/OFF button.
• The menu listwill appear.
3. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight DIS.

4. To activate the DIS function, press the ENTER button.
• The DIS menu is changed to ON.
• (fyou do not want to use the DIS function, set the DIS menu to OFE
5. To exit, press the MENU ON/OFF button.
• It is recommendedthat you deactivate the handshake compensationfunction when using a tripod.
• The DIS function will not operate in the low SHUTTER 1/8,1/15,1/30 mode.
• If you set the DIS function to ON in GHOST mode, the GHOST modewill be switched off.
• If you use the DIS function, the picture quality may deteriorate.
