+ Use Mini DV Cassettesonly.
+ When inserting a tape or closing a cassette holder, do not apply excessive force. It can cause a malfunction.
+ Do not use tapes other than Mini DV CASSETTE.
1. Connect a power source. Slide the OPEN/EJECT button forward
and openthe cassette door all the way.
The compartment opens automatically.
2. Insert a tape intothe cassette holder with the tape window facing outward and
the protection tab toward the top.
3. Press the area labelled PUSH on the cassette hoIding mechanism untilit clicks into place.
The cassette is loaded automatically.
4. Close the cassette door.
The camcorder wilI not operate with the cassettedoor open.
_ Note _ When have recorded something that wish to keep,
you you
you can protect it sothat it wilI not be accidentally erased.
a. Recording Impossible(Protection) :
Pushthe safety tab on the cassetteso that the hoIe isnot covered.
b. Recordingpossible :
If you no longer wish to keep the recording on the cassette,
push the protection tab back so that it covers the hole.
• How to keep a tape
a. Avoid placeswhere there are magnets.
b. Avoid humidity-and-dust prone places.
c. Keep it in an vertical position and avoid storing in direct sunlight.
d. Avoid dropping or knocking your tapes.
