6.3.8 User management
The user management contains all users. A user can edit their user data or
data from the same or a deeper user group. The Operator can only change
their own password.
The following table shows all parameter values of user management in the
same order as they are listed in the Web browser:
Parameter Meaning
Select or delete user
name
All users are offered for selection which the
logged in user can change. The user can also
delete a user. Users can not delete themselves.
Add user name A new user can be added here. Please note
that a maximum of 9 characters can be used
for a user name
Password A password must be assigned. The password
must be entered twice. Please note that a
maximum of 9 characters can be used
for a password.
User group Every user must belong to a user group. The
user group defines the rights. The current user
cannot change his or her user group. Chapter
9.5 External size of device User groups and
user interfaces shows all users and their rights.
Automatic login Automatic Login can be assigned exclusively to
one single user. When switching on the device
and when changing the user interface (see
Chapter 6.1 Mutual exclusion), the login
dialogue in this case is skipped and the user
with Automatic Login is logged in.
Only one user can have automatic login. If a user has automatic login, this
user loses it if the automatic login is assigned to another user.
If automatic login is activated, automatic log out is deactivated.
Changing between automatic login and automatic logout requires a reboot.
