7.2.3 Reweld
Rewelding can be executed only after the welding process is aborted in the
critical section. It is the attempt to limit the ensuing damage and should
prevent the medium from leaking out the tubes. If rewelding is selected, the
user is given the possibility before welding to clamp the tubes and to choose
the right type of tube in the settings.
The user must check the quality of welding after a welding. The welding
must be repeated if needed. A risk assessment regarding the sterility of the
weld has to be perfomed by the user.
Make sure that the rewelding is not discontinued. If this occurs, no reweld
is possible anymore and the device has to be fixed by a technician.
7.3 Reverse
During a reverse all drives are brought back to the starting position and the
blade cooled off to the release temperature.
This sequence is started if the user has pressed the Stop button, or after a
power failure, or if a drive or the heating fails to reach the default setting.
After the reverse of the device due to an abort of the welding process in the
critical section, there is risk of weld failure and damage to the device. A risk
assessment regarding the sterility of the weld has to be perfomed by the user.
