3. The plug of the supplied AC power cord is 3-pronged. One of the 3-pronged electrodes is dedicated to
grounding. When the outlet is a 3-prong type, plug the AC power cord directly into it.
CAUTION
• Be sure to connect the ground wire to the ground opening in the outlet. Not connecting the ground wire
could result in electrical shock.
• The power cord set supplied with this printer is only for use with this printer. Do not use it for other electrical
devices.
4. Press the POWER button on the operation panel of the printer. The ON LINE (POWER) lamp is on. Check
that the ON LINE (POWER) lamp is on.
CAUTION
• Do not operate the power switch or connect or disconnect the power cord with wet hands. Doing so could
result in electric shock.
