3.4 Liberty 100 Keypad Functions
The keypad keys of the Liberty 100 electricity meter are configurable to match supplier’s requirements. The
default configuration of each key at manufacture is given below:

Specific use of various keys in different operating modes is detailed separately in Annexe-I: Meter Displays.
The following table summarises the displays associated with the twelve (12) keys in each of the three operating
modes:
Displays cost of consumption and units consumed on the current day and
previous day.
Displays ‘Not Used’
Displays cost of consumption in the current week and previous week. Displays ‘Not Used’
Displays cost of consumption in the current month and previous month. Displays ‘Not Used’
Displays historical data comprising monthly units consumed and cost of
consumption.

Displays tariff name, standing charge per day, active rate register(s) along
with the consumption and cost per unit recorded in each rate register.

Displays if Emergency Credit can be enabled. If it
is not available or is already enabled then it
displays the current status and balance.

Number keys (0-9) functions:
Used to display meter data in
Prepayment and Credit
modes.
Used to input UTRNs.
Key ‘A’ functions:
Initiates UTRN entry;
Used as backspace during
UTRN entry.
Used to enable Emergency
Credit when made available.
Initiates supply reconnection
from ARM state.
Used to exit Diagnostic
Mode and resume auto
scroll display.
Key ‘B’ functions:
Activates auto scroll display
from sleep mode.
Used to scroll back through a
display sequence.
Initiates UTRN authentication
process.
Used to mute audible alarms.
Used to confirm supply
reconnection from ARM state.
Key ‘0’ additional functions:
Initiates Commissioning
process if applicable.
