Why do the batteries in my Sensaphone Telephone drain so quickly?
    • M
      Michael PerkinsSep 23, 2025
If the batteries drain prematurely in your Sensaphone, ensure the unit’s AC transformer is plugged in and providing full AC power. When storing the unit, be sure to remove the batteries and use alkaline batteries—do not use rechargeable batteries. The unit’s AC transformer is unplugged, or for some other reason, full AC power is not available to the unit.

What to do if Sensaphone Model 400 Security System won't answer the telephone?
    • J
      Jasmine CollinsAug 25, 2025
If your Sensaphone Model 400 Security System won't answer the telephone, allow the telephone to ring 10 times. Also, deactivate the local voice mute feature, if it’s enabled. Check that the number of Rings Until Answer for the Model 400 isn’t the same as the ring setting for your telephone answering device and change it.

Why is the alarm status of an alert zone incorrect on my Sensaphone 400?
    • C
      Christopher SampsonAug 26, 2025
To correct an incorrect alarm status on your Sensaphone Security System, reconfigure the zone to ensure the correct zone normality. You can also increase the Power Recognition Time. Verify proper battery function by unplugging the unit and ensuring it continues to operate using batteries only. Reprogram Recognition Time.

How to fix Sensaphone 400 error 2?
    • C
      Cory GonzalesAug 27, 2025
To resolve the “Error 2” message on your Sensaphone Security System, start by rechecking the programming of Rings Until Answer. Ensure that your Model 400 is connected to a standard (2-wire analog) telephone line, not a digital extension. If the Rings Until Answer is set at more than 4 rings, try setting it to less than 4 rings.

What causes false high temperature alarms from freezer on Sensaphone Security System?
    • J
      Justin LittleAug 27, 2025
To address false high temperature alarms from your freezer with the Sensaphone Security System, program a zone recognition time that is longer than the defrost cycle. Shorten the Call Delay or lengthen the Zone Recognition Time.

How to fix a Sensaphone Telephone with a temperature reading of -20° F or -30° C?
    • B
      Bradley RobinsonSep 14, 2025
To resolve a temperature reading of -20° F or -30° C on your Sensaphone, examine the wires to the temperature sensor and connect or replace the wiring. The temperature sensor has been disconnected or has broken wires.

    Amy ThompsonSep 12, 2025
Why is the temperature reading inaccurate on my Sensaphone Telephone?
    • P
      Peter PotterSep 12, 2025
If the temperature reading on your Sensaphone is inaccurate, try moving the unit to a different location away from sources of ambient heat. After moving or placing the unit away from ambient heat sources, the temperature may be calibrated to offset inaccurate normal reading by several degrees. Also, verify the temperature scale. Temperature sensing may be affected by a source of ambient heat, temperature may require calibration, or the unit is using the wrong temperature scale (Fahrenheit vs. Celsius).

How do I stop false high sound alarms on my Sensaphone Telephone?
    • J
      jillian10Sep 12, 2025
If false high sound alarms occur frequently with your Sensaphone, reprogram the sound sensitivity and lengthen the sound Recognition Time. The programmed sound sensitivity results in over-sensitivity to non-alarm sound as well as alarm sound. Sound Recognition Time is too short.

How to stop false power out alarms on my Sensaphone Telephone?
    • J
      Jane PorterSep 4, 2025
To prevent false power out alarms on your Sensaphone, increase the power Recognition Time. AC power is often subject to brief interruptions, and a short Recognition Time can trigger false alarms.

What to do if my Sensaphone Telephone Model 400 does not recognize power failure?
    • M
      Melissa GomezSep 2, 2025
If your Sensaphone Model 400 does not recognize power failure, verify proper battery function by unplugging the unit and ensuring it continues to operate on batteries alone. If it doesn't, reinstall the batteries or replace them. Also, reprogram the Recognition Time to the minimum required before a valid alarm occurs. The cause may be incorrectly installed or drained batteries, or a Recognition Time setting that is too long.
