USING THE COUNTER MEMORY
Use the counter memory when you want to return to
the beginning of a particular scene.
The position where the counter memory was reset
(O:OO.OO) is stored in memory to make it easier to
return the tape to that point.

Press the TAPE INFORMATION button to display
the counter control button indicators on the moni-
tor. If the MEMORY button i,ndicator does not
appear, press the COUNTER button to make the
counter display appear.
Press the MEMORY button to set the counter to
Counter Memory mode. “M” will be displayed to
the left of the counter. Then press the TAPE IN-
FORMATION button to turn off the counter con-
trol button indicators.
During playback (or recording), reset the counter
to zero at the beginning of a scene that you want
to return to later. Then press the TAPE INFOR-
MATION button to turn off the counter control
button indicators.
Stop playback (or recording). If the VIEWCAM is
in Camera mode, set the Operate switch to VCR.
Then press the REW button. The tape will auto-
matically stop when the counter reaches O:OO.OO.
Press the PLAY button to view the desired scene.
Notes:
. The FF (Fast Forward) button can be used in the same
way.
l This function does not work during video searches.
TO CANCEL COUNTER MEMORY
MODE
Press the TAPE INFORMATION button to display the
counter control button indicators. Then press the
MEMORY button to turn off the “M” to the left of the
counter display. The Counter Memory mode is
turned off, and the counter returns to Ordinary
Counter mode.
To turn off the Counter mode, press the COUNTER
button. The counter display will turn off.
