9.2 Cleaning
NOTICE
Equipment damage due to improper cleaning.
Improper cleaning may result in equipment damage.
Only use recommended cleaning agents and tools.
Never use sharp objects for cleaning.
If it is dirty (e.g., metal dust), clean the front of the device carefully using a soft,
damp cloth (with a mild cleaning agent) in order to achieve the full read and write
speed.
Clean the front of the device and, if applicable, the front of any external antennas
if they are contaminated, e.g. by metal dust, in order to maintain the full read and
write rate. To do this, clean carefully with a soft, damp cloth (mild detergent).
Cleaning the front is not necessary for the RFU63x-041xx since this device does
not have an integrated antenna.
The device must be cleaned regularly from the outside to guarantee heat dissipa‐
tion and therefore operation. Particular attention must be paid to ensure that the
cooling ribs and, if present, the fan are free from dust and dirt. Use a dry cloth or
an industrial vacuum cleaner for cleaning. Do not use cleaning agents.
