Diagnostic memory
To provide support for troubleshooting and remedying problems, the SINAMICS DC
MASTER records various types of data in a diagnostics file. Siemens specialists can use the
contents of this file to glean more in-depth information about the cause of inexplicable faults
or other problems such as blown fuses or defective thyristors.
When contacting Siemens with queries related to problems of this type, it is, therefore,
advisable that you both read out this file and e-mail a copy of it to the Siemens experts.
With parallel or series connection, the diagnostics files of
all
devices must always be read
out and sent to the Siemens experts.
Proceed as follows to read out the diagnostics file:
1. Insert the memory card in the drive.
2. Set p50832 = 1:
this copies the diagnostics file to the CompactFlash Card. A process which takes
approximately 2 minutes. Copying is complete when p50832 takes on the value 0 again.
3. The diagnostics file is called
DiagStor.spd
, is approx. 600 KB in size, and can be found in
the
\USER\SINAMICS\DATA\LOG
directory on the memory card.
For more details on the diagnostic memory, please refer to function diagram FP8052.
