Zero gas
Gas used to adjust the zero point of analyzers; it does not cause a measured value which
differs from the zero value.
Zero point
Smallest possible point of a measuring range (usually the start-of-scale value).
Zirconium dioxide, ZrO
2
Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) as the sensor material is a high-performance ceramic belonging to
the group of oxide ceramics, and is therefore a non-metallic, inorganic material. It is non-
magnetic, extremely resistant to acids and alkalis, and exhibits a high resistance to chemical,
thermal and mechanical influences.
