Software components
● General for all devices: Panel PC Tools
– SetBrightness
– IPCScreenSaver
● Special for devices with resistive single-touch screen: UPDD (Universal Pointing Device
Driver) with the following features
– Advanced touch features
– Calibrating
● Calibration is not necessary for devices with capacitive multi-touch screen. Depending on
your operating system, you may be able calibrate the touch screen through the operating
system, although it will not improve the accuracy.
All other functions are described in the manual "SIMATIC IPC Wizard 2.1 and Panel
Configuration Center":
● On the "Documentation and Drivers" CD/DVD included in the delivery
● In the IPC Wizard installation directory on the PC

Monitoring functions
5.5.1.1
Overview of the monitoring functions
The basic version of the device also provides monitoring functions. The following display,
monitoring and control functions are available when the appropriate software is used:
● Temperature monitoring (over / under temperature)
● Battery monitoring: The charge level of the battery is monitored.
● Monitoring of hard disks, memory cards and SSD drives with S.M.A.R.T. functionality
● Watchdog (hardware or software reset of the computer)
● Operating hours meter (information on the cumulative run time)
● Hard disk status and status of the RAID system
