Configuration and downloading the configuration data
It is possible to download the configuration data to the CP via MPI or LAN/Industrial
Ethernet. Downloading is possible over the PROFINET or the gigabit interface of the CP.
You require STEP 7 with additional modules in the following version:
Table 3- 1 Required STEP 7 version
STEP 7 version (either V5.5 with “SCT“ or Professional)
CP 4431 Advanced functionality
• STEP 7 V5.5 + Service Pack 4 + HF 8
You also require the following:
• HSP 1105 (Hardware Update)
• Program block library "SIMATIC NET CP" version V5.5.4
• Security Configuration Tool (SCT) V4.1
SCT is used in the configuration of the security function from
within STEP 7.
The full functionality as described in this
document can be used.
STEP 7 Professional V13 The following are not supported:
• PROFINET CBA
• Innovations of firmware version V3.2

Configuration for use of PROFINET CBA
To be able to work in the PROFINET CBA environment, you require the SIMATIC iMap
engineering tool.
SIMATIC iMap requires a connection via Industrial Ethernet (TCP/IP protocol). The following
SIMATIC iMap configuration software is required:

ware version 1 and firmware version V3.0.
