A diagnostic message is issued in case of failure of both system power supplies on the
identical slots of the H
-CPUs. The ERROR LEDs on both H-CPUs flash red. However, the S7-
1500H redundant system remains in the RUN
-Redundant system state.
Example: In an H
-system, the system power supplies on slot 2 on mounting rail 0 and
mounting rail 1 have failed.
6.3.6 Configuration with IE/PB LINK HA
Introduction
The following configuration shows the redundant S7-1500R/H system with the E/PB LINK HA
gateway in the PROFINET ring.
Advantages/benefits
You can extend the redundant S7-1500R/H system by a gateway from PROFINET IO to
PROFIBUS DP via the IE/PB LINK HA:
• Extension of the redundant S7-1500R/H system by PROFIBUS DP devices
• Bumpless connection of PROFIBUS DP devices using the IE/PB LINK HA as an S2 device
• Simple migration of PROFIBUS networks
