2.5.4 CD R/RW Drive
The CD R/RW drive is optionally installed in the drive holder. This drive supports
the following recording processes: Disc at once, Track at once, Session at once,
Packet writing. CD ROMs, CD Rs as well as Audio/Video CDs can be read.
Additional Software
To be attain the full functionality of the CD R/RW drive, additional software (burner
software) is necessary. You can find it on the CD included in the delivery of the
device. To install the software place the CD in the drive and follow the instructions
on the screen.
Caution
Risk of data error when burning a CD R or a CD RW!
Burning operation with CD R/RW is permissible only in undisturbed enviromment,
shock and vibrations are to be avoided.
The quality of recordable CDs vary considerably, data error can therefore not be
completey ruled out when writing a CD, even when no error message is displayed.
Correctly written data can only be guaranteed by an additional comparison with the
source data. To ensure an error-free copying process do a data comparison after
every burning session.
