Connecting and Switching on the Rack PC
Before you connect the Rack PC to the mains, the peripheral units must be
connected.
1. Insert the connector cable of the peripheral units into the corresponding sockets
on the port side of the Rack PC (see Section 3.4.)
2. Connect the device to the mains. You can fix the mains plug with the supplied
cable cable clamp.
3. Press the On/Off button behind the front door. The green Power LED lights up.
The Rack PC is in operation.
Switching off the Rack PC
Press the On/Off button behind the front door. The Power LED changes from
green to off. To completely separate the Rack PC from the mains, you have to
remove the mains plug.
Note
If you are working with Windows, always use Start > Shut down in the task bar
for switching off your Rack PC.
Reset via On/Off button
If you press the On/Off button briefly once the operating system will shut down and
Rack PC IL is switched off.
Notice
With Windows NT the PC switched off immediately since the system cannot be
shut down.
If you press the On/Off button once for more than four seconds, the Rack PC IL
will be switched off, without shutting down the operation system (Reset). Briefly
pressing the On/Off button again will restart the operating system.
