Safety Integrated functions with PROFIsafe (PROFIBUS example)
Safety
Integrated functions are activated via "PROFIsafe on PROFIBUS" safe communication.
Control (F logic) is based on a SIMATIC F‑CPU connected via PROFIBUS with PROFIsafe.
Examples are a SIMATIC S7‑300 CPU 317F‑2 DP (not shown) or an ET 200S IM151‑7 F‑CPU
with the PROFIBUS DP master interface module (see picture).
