6.2 Configuring the 3RW5 soft starter
The prerequisite for communication via EtherNet/IP is the setting of the IP parameters
(Page 45) in the 3RW5 communication module.
Possible procedures for configuration can be found in chapters

Configuring 3RW5 soft starters with the aid of a 3RW5 HMI High Feature (Page 43).
Note
Setting via the local interface and on the 3RW5 HMI High Feature
It is always possible to set the IP parameters via the local interface and on the
3RW5
HMI High Feature when the BOOTP/DHCP server (Page 46) is deactivated, even if
no EtherNet/IP connection exists.
6.2.1 Configuring the 3RW5 soft starter in the EtherNet/IP system
6.2.1.1 Configuring 3RW5 soft starters without 3RW5 HMI High Feature
Requirements
● Connection of the 3RW5 soft starter via EtherNet/IP
● Switched on control supply voltage on the 3RW5 soft starter
● IP parameter (factory setting)
The factory settings (default) of the IP parameters can be found in the
TCP/IP Interface Object (Page 104).
● MAC address (optional) (Page 46)
You can read the MAC address on the front of the 3RW5 communication module.
