An inspection can include, for example, check of:
Ambient conditions
Seal integrity of the cover
NOTICE
Penetration of moisture into the device
Damage to device.
Make sure when carrying out cleaning and maintenance work that no moisture penetrates
the inside of the device.
9.2.2 Replacing SITRANS MS200 battery pack
WARNING
Corrosive substances
Risk of injury. If the battery pack is damaged or leaking toxic gases and liquids can be released.
The battery pack contains corrosive substances that result in burns on unprotected skin.
Wear gloves.
If contact with the corrosive substances occurs, rinse the a󹪜ected skin immediately with
large amount of water to dilute substance.
CAUTION
Contamination of PCB
Wear gloves to prevent contamination of PCB. Do not touch the PCB.
Note
If SITRANS MS200 must be disassembled for battery replacement, observe the following:
After a battery change SITRANS MS200 must be mounted again with the same angle of rotation.
On the metal are two 󹪞attenings (wrench size = 44mm), which ensure the correct direction. The
label gives the correct position for SITRANS MS200, 0° or 180°. If you mount SITRANS MS200
again ensure that the orientation is identical as before exchange (max. 5° angle di󹪜erence).
Note
Battery temperature for replacement
The temperature di󹪜erence between the new battery and the battery to be replaced should not
exceed +/-5 °C.
