5. Before using for the
first time

device on, place it on a level, sta-
ble, dry, heat-resistant surface.

very hot during operation. During op-

NOTE: as the appliance is supplied with a
thin film of grease, there might be a small
amount of smoke and odour the first time
it is used. This is not harmful and will stop af-
ter a short while. Please ensure adequate
ventilation during this process.
• Clean the appliance before using
it for the first time (see “Cleaning
and storing” on page 17)!
1. Place the appliance on a level, dry,
non-slip surface so that the appliance
can neither fall over nor slide off.
2. Pour 0.25 l of clean drinking water into
bottom part10.
3. Put steam sleeve7 on steam genera-
tor9. The narrow end of steam
sleeve7 must face upwards.
4. Put collector6 in bottom part10.
5. Place steamer baskets4 on bottom
part10.
NOTE: ensure that the steamer baskets4
are in the right sequence, as they are slightly
different sizes. Steamer basket 1 is always
on the bottom, steamer basket 2 on top of it
and steamer basket 3 right on top. The num-
ber of the steamer basket is shown on its
handles.
6. Place rice tray3 in the top steamer
basket.
7. Place lid2 on the top steamer basket.
8. Insert the power supply plug in a suita-
ble earthed power supply socket.
9. Select a cooking time of 5 - 10 min. on
time selector12.
10. The appliance starts heating up and
operating display13 comes on.
11. Allow the appliance to cool down once
the set time has elapsed and then clean
it again. The appliance is now ready to
use.

1. Take collector6 out of bottom part10.
2. Pour clean drinking water into bottom
part10:
- the quantity is 0.2 l to 1.2 l;
- ensure that the water level on water
level indicator11 is always between
MIN and MAX;
- with collector6 in place, you can
also pour in water via handles with
filling opening8.
3. Put steam sleeve7 on steam genera-
tor9. The narrow end of steam
sleeve7 must face upwards.
4. Put collector6 in bottom part10.
