Filled pastries
Ingredients for 16 pieces
200 g puff pastry (frozen or from the chiller cabinet)
2 tbsp. milk
Filling as desired
Preparation
1) Cut the puff pastry into 16 squares (5 x 5 cm).
2) Place a heaped teaspoon of filling in the centre of each square.
3) Fold each square into a triangular pastry pocket by folding it over.
Brush the edges with a little water and press them together with a
fork.
4) Place 8 pastries at a time in the frying basket and brush with milk.
5) Bake them using the "Muffins" programme at 160°C for approx.
15–20 minutes until they are golden brown.
Suggestions for the filling
Ham and cheese:
Mix together 50 g cream cheese and 50 g cooked ham cut into
fine strips and add some pepper.
Ricotta and spinach:
Mix 50 g ricotta with 50 g well-drained spinach, a little nutmeg,
salt and grated Parmesan cheese.
Apple cinnamon:
Cut an apple into small pieces and mix with 1 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp.
cinnamon and a few sultanas.
Salmon and cream cheese:
Mix together 50 g cream cheese and 50 g salmon (fresh or smoked)
cut into small cubes or strips and some dill.
