DUAL FEED SYSTEM (DFS)
The DFS system feed fabrics from the top and bottom simultaneously, ensuring that the fabric
layers feed evenly. Use this when sewing checked, striped or plaid fabrics, as well as quilt layers.
It is also helpful when sewing lightweight or difficult-to-handle fabrics such as silk or rayon, as the
DFS system prevents puckering.
Raise the presser foot.
To engage the DFS system
Lower the DFS mechanism slowly.
Swing the DFS mechanism forward under the
back of the presser foot until it is engaged and
stays in the lowered position.
