Presser foot pressure controls the amount of
pressure placed on the fabric by the presser foot.
The presser foot pressure dial is on the top of
the face plate, and can be used to adjust the
presser foot pressure.
The presser foot pressure of the machine has
been preset and usually requires no particular
adjustment.
For regular sewing of most fabrics, the dial
should be set near "1". However, when working
with heavyweight or thicker fabrics, the pressure
can be adjusted between "0" and "2". When
working with lightweight/fine fabrics or applique,
the pressure can be adjusted between "1" and
"2".
