Firmware Update Using a USB Device
It is always recommended to install the latest rmware in your
machine.
Visit the SINGER® website at software.singer.com and nd
your machine. Here you will nd the available updates. Follow
the steps below to download and install the rmware update.
1. Download the update rmware zip le. Unzip the le and
copy the le (.clo) to a USB device.
Note: Do not change the name of the le or do not copy the le
into an existing folder on the USB device. Make sure that the
name of the le is “sg_rmware_update.clo”.
Note: Make sure that there is no old rmware update le (.clo)
on the USB stick when copying the new rmware update le
(.clo). The le name is not unique.
2. Connect the USB device loaded with the new rmware
version to a USB port on your machine.
3. Turn on your machine with the ON/OFF switch and touch
the Menu Button.
4. Touch the rmware button. After the rmware update is
veried, touch ‘Install’. Do not turn o the machine.
5. Restart the machine when the update is completed. Check
the software version number in the settings menu under the
rmware page.
Note: Make sure that the USB stick you use has the format
FAT32.
