SCISSOR ARMS COMPONENTS
6.1 DISASSEMBLY AND
INSTALLATION
Disassembly
1. Make sure the machine is in stowed position.
2. Remove the platform assembly.
3. Mark and disconnect the harness connections on
the scissor arm assembly.
4. Use suitable lifting equipment to support the scissor
arm assembly.
5. Remove the fasteners securing the scissor arm as-
sembly on both sides of the chassis.
6. Use tools to pull out the pivot pin securing the scis-
sor arm assembly with the chassis.
7. With the assistance of the lifting equipment, hori-
zontally remove the scissor arm assembly from
chassis chute slowly and carefully place it at a suit-
able position.
Installation
For installation, follow the disassembly procedure in re-
verse order.
6.2 SAFETY ARM
If you need to work under the raised scissor arms,
make sure that the safety arm sets up and
provides effective support.
1. Start the machine on the ground to raise the plat-
form appropriately so that the safety arm can be
fully erected.
2. Erect the safety arm and lower the platform appro-
priately to ensure that the safety arm provides effec-
tive support.
3. Lower the platform until the upper scissor sleeve
contacts the safety arm.
6.3 LIFT ELECTRIC ACTUATOR
If the electric actuator has a malfunction, please
contact Sinoboom aftersales staff.
1. Raise the scissor arm appropriately until the lift elec-
tric actuator is accessible and can be easily
removed.
2. Erect the safety arm and ensure that the safety arm
provides effective support.
3. Use suitable lifting equipment to support the scissor
arm assembly to prevent it from falling during the
disassembly process.
4. Mark and disconnect the harness connections on
the lift electric actuator.
5. Use suitable lifting equipment to support the two
ends of the lift electric actuator.
6. Remove the fasteners securing the lift electric ac-
tuator upper end to the scissor arm, and then re-
move the weighing sensor.
7. Remove the fasteners at the pivot pin connecting
the lift electric actuator lower end with the scissor
arm, and knock out the pivot pin with a brass rod
and mallet.
8. Slowly remove the lift electric actuator with the aid
of the lifting equipment.
9. Slowly lower the scissor arm to stowed position with
the aid of the lifting equipment.
When disassembling the electric actuator, use
caution to prevent it from falling and getting
damaged.
Installation
For installation, follow the disassembly procedure in re-
verse order.
Checking Screw and Nut of Lift Electric Actua-
tor for Wear
The lift electric actuator is critical for the normal opera-
tion and safety of the machine, and keeping using a lift
electric actuator with worn-out screw and nut may lead
to component damage or dangerous operation. It is rec-
ommended to check the screw and nut of lift electric ac-
tuator for wear every quarter or every 250 hours of
operation.
With the machine unloaded, detect the drive current
while the lift electric actuator is operating at constant
speed:
If the drive current is lower than (1+10%) normal cur-
rent, the screw and nut of lift electric actuator are op-
erating normally. Carry out spot inspection at
specified interval.
If the drive current is equal to or higer than (1+10%)
normal current but lower than (1+20%) normal cur-
rent, the screw and nut of lift electric actuator have
minor wear and can be used for another period of
