9.2 BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING

Fault Cause Solution
Machine has no power Machine is not powered on.
• The “ground/platform control selector switch” is in
the neutral position.
• The emergency stop button at the platform control-
ler or the ground controller is in the OFF position.
• The upper controller is malfunctioning.
• The lower controller is malfunctioning.
Machine
communication fault
CAN equipment offline
• Inspect whether the leads between the power sup-
ply and communication are inserted properly and
reliably.
• Inspect whether all pins of the Deutsch plugs for the
connecting cables between platform controller and
ground controller are wired according to the
drawing.
• Inspect whether the platform controls plug or the
plug of the connecting cable between the platform
controller and ground controller are in good contact.
• Inspect whether the platform controller is
malfunctioning.
• Inspect whether the Deltatech plug of the ground
controller is wired firmly and/or correctly.
No response to ground
control inputs
The ground/platform control
selector switch has not been
turned to the lower controller
• The ground/platform control selector switch is not in
the lower control position.
• The system has not been powered off after the pro-
gram has been downloaded to the ground
controller.
• Inspect the lower controller for malfunction.
No response to
platform control inputs
The ground/platform control
selector switch has not been
turned to the upper controller
• The ground/platform control selector switch is not in
the platform control position.
• The system has not been powered off once after
the program is downloaded to the platform
controller.
• Inspect whether the platform controller is
malfunctioning.
Tilt alarm sounds even
with the machine in
level position
The level switch is not
connected or defective.
• Inspect whether the level switch is inserted properly
and firmly.
• Inspect whether the level switch is malfunctioning.
The ground controller
cannot control lowering
when the machine has
no load and is level
Electric actuator fault
• Check if the electric actuator drive is powerd on and
has any alarm.
• Check whether the drive motor encoder of the elec-
tric actuator is normally connected.
