SITA Messtechnik GmbH – Operating Instructions SITA ConSpector
Testing with SITA working standard C0 and C1
The SITA working standards C0 (blue) and C1 (gold) are avail-
able separately as a set of optional accessories. With the help of
the SITA working standards, you can check the light guide rod
for impurities and the sensor for the offset of the sensor charac-
teristic curve as well as carry out an adjustment of the device if
necessary.
In principle, reliable operation of the SITA ConSpector is given
if the measured values during the device test are within the permissible tolerance range.
The following influences can be excluded when carrying out the device inspection with SITA Cali-
bration Standards
• Photo bleaching effect
• Positioning tolerances
This guarantees a reproducible device inspection.
Handling of SITA Calibration Standards
The SITA Calibration Standards are delivered ready to use, in a plastic box
(see image right). This protects the SITA Calibration Standards against con-
tamination during storage. Open and use the SITA Calibration Standards only
in a dust- and oil-free environment. After usage, you must store the SITA Cal-
ibration Standard in the plastic box and in a dust-free as well as dry location.
In any case, avoid the contamination of SITA Calibration Standards, as con-
tamination affects the measuring value. In case of contamination, the SITA Calibration Standards
must be cleaned by the manufacturer. In addition, it is recommended to have the SITA ConSpector
and the calibration standards serviced and adjusted by the manufacturer every 1 - 2 years as part
of the monitoring of the measuring equipment.
