Info
Displaying all currently available status messages. If a different function is mapped
onto this key, it will be replaced by this status key whenever a status message becomes
newly available.
Press the key to display the status messages; press
Del
to delete displayed status
messages one after the other. This will also delete the message in the status bar, for
example call forwarding settings. Once all messages have been deleted, both the
Info
key as well as the message in the info/status bar will disappear.
If you have mapped a different function onto this key, it is now visible and available
again. If you have mapped the function "Status messages" onto the key, the symbol's
space will remain blank until there is a new status message or until a reboot when all
current status messages will be displayed anew.
When the phone is active
The display will inform you of any activity the phone is engaged in. This information is presented in the
form of text or symbols or both.
Info bar: This line contains a description of the current activity, like Connected, Calls on Hold, etc.
Context area
Depending on the activity, this area will contain symbols (incoming call ringing, outgoing call ringing,
etc.) and text like the phone number calling, the extension number being called, conference partners,
etc. See the various descriptions in "Using the phone" on page 42.
In editing modes (i.e., when dialing or editing directory entries), the current editing mode (i.e., numerals,
small letters, or capital letters) is displayed in the line below the cursor; during active calls that line will
display the duration of the call.
Function key line
Depending on the current activity of the phone, the key function key line will present various functions
that can be activated by pressing the function key underneath the respective symbol. See "Appendix
1 - Display Symbols" on page 81 for a list of available functions.
