7.4 Clean the light inlet window of the optics (MgF2)
Caution! Risk of electrical shock!
 While the instrument is switched on, the spark stand presents a risk of
electrical shock.
 Shut down the Plasma generator (excitation unit) during all work on the
spark stand.
To clean the light inlet window, proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the two bolts (1) of the
light inlet window.
2. Remove the light inlet window.
 Direct contact with the
optical surfaces must be
avoided.

3. Use an optical paper or a lint-
free soft cloth to clean the light
entrance window.

4. Reinstall the light inlet window.
 The light inlet window is cleaned.
