7.11.1 Replacing the insert of the filter bottle
Caution! Toxic substance and fire hazard!
The condensate in the filter bottle consists of metal powder. The condensate
could be toxic or flammable, depending on the sample material.
When opening the filter bottle, ensure that there is no ignition source
nearby. Open the filter bottle only when it is cold.
Protective gloves and safety glasses must be worn when cleaning the
spark stand or when changing the filter unit (gas-washing bottle/filter
bottle).
When disposing of the condensate, compliance with legal regulations is
mandatory.
In order to replace the filter bottle, proceed as follows:
1. Pull the latch to open the right-
hand side door.
2. Hold the filter bottle (1) with both
hands and unscrew it.
3. Remove the filter insert (2) and
place the new insert into the
filter bottle.

4. Screw the filter bottle back manually.
The filter bottle screws in easily. If not, the filter insert is not positioned
correctly.
Now, the filter insert has been replaced.
