7.8 Changing the electrode
Caution! Risk of burns!
 Contacting the electrode increases the risk of burn injuries. During normal
operation, the electrode will heat up to several hundred degrees.
 Never touch the electrode with your bare hands, even after shutting down
the instrument. Always use pliers.
Caution! Risk of electric shock!
 While the instrument is switched on, there is a risk of electrical shock.
 Shut down the Plasma generator (excitation unit) during all work on the
spark stand.
To replace the electrode, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the spacer from the
spark stand.
