5.2.8 Thermocouple Failed
Description – Control monitors TC1 and TC2 and
alarm will occur if readings are more than 3°C apart.
Action:
1. Loose connection to TC1 or TC2 – repair
connection. (Refer to Figure 5-2.)
2. Faulty TC1 or TC2 – replace.
3. Out of Calibration – recalibrate.
4. Faulty interface board – replace.
5. Faulty control board – replace.
6. Tray drain strainer obstructed – clean or replace.
7. Faulty P1–replace.
8. Faulty SSR4 – replace. (Refer to Figure 5-5.)
5.2.9 Circulation Valve Fault
Description – Control monitors circulation pressure
(CP) and pressure with circulation pump (P1) on and
circulation valve closed (CZ). Alarm occurs if CP–CZ
< 0.975 psi (2.5 counts).
Action:
1. V5 leaking – replace.
2. Faulty SOL3 – replace. (Refer to Figure 5-5.)
3. Incomplete tray being run (no container or lid) –
retest with complete tray.
4. PT1 fault – repair. (Refer to Figure 5-1 and 5-2.)
5. Faulty CK11 – replace.
5.2.10 Heat Rate Low
Description – Control monitors temperature rise of
fluid during heating phase. Alarm occurs if
temperature does not rise an average of 1.0°C per
minute.
Action:
1. Faulty HTR1 – replace.
2. LS1 tripped – reset.
3. Faulty SSR1 – replace. (Refer to Figure 5-5.)
4. Faulty control board – replace.
5.2.11 Drain Valve Fault
Description – Control monitors LS3 just prior to
draining the chamber. If LS3 switch does not sense a
full condition, alarm occurs.
Action:
1. Chamber leak through cracked tray – replace tray.
2. Faulty V5 – replace.
3. Faulty LS3 – replace.
4. Faulty CK8 – rebuild.
5. CK2 or CK3 leaking – replace.
6. Plumbing component leak – repair.
5.2.12 Drain Time Fault
Description – Control monitors the LS3 after the unit
starts draining. If LS3 does not sense a not-full
condition within five seconds, alarm occurs.
Action:
1. Clogged FLT2 – replace.
2. Faulty CK1 – replace.
3. Drain hose restricted – repair.
4. Faulty V5 – replace.
5. Faulty LS3 – replace.
