4. Using both hands, press the spool onto the mount until it locks into place. Make
sure the spool does not rest on the tension ball.
5. Toggle to the other liquefier tip by selecting it on the keypad.
6. Feed the filament through the guide hole on the bottom of the sensor block until
you come to a stop.
7. Press the “LOAD” button to commence feeding.
8. Gently push the filament until the motor feeder grips the filament material.
9. Assure the FDM head liquefier is purging material through the tip.
10. Inspect the flow. It may sputter if there is a blockage or other problems.
If filament does not begin purging through the tips within
twenty seconds, turn off the load, open the head, and check for
anything that might prevent filament from flowing through the tip.
11. Press the “LOAD” button to cease the loading.
12. Clean the tips with a brass handled brush.
a. Back up the spool until the filament is taut.
b. Close the dry box door and secure both latches.
c. Close the back panel door.
Resuming the Part Build
1. Verify that the active head liquefier tip is the same tip that was active when
the modeler was initially put on pause.
2. Press the “Pause” button to resume the part build.
