Creating a Calibration Box
Use the FDM Status application to create calibration boxes. These are saved as Insight
jobs, which you can view in Insight and build on the modeler using FDM Status.
To build a calibration box:
1. Follow the procedure for performing Tip Offset Calibration.
2. In the process of performing calibration, an Insight job containing the calibration
box is automatically created and saved. The calibration job files will be contained
in the modelers subdirectory of the Insight installation directory, e.g.
C:\Insight\modelers.
3. There will be a directory for each of the modeler types you have used. If calibrating
an FDM 3000, there will be an M_fdm3000 directory, e.g.
C:\Insight\modelers\M_fdm3000.
4. The job directory for the calibration box will be encoded to describe the modeler
configuration used to generate the calibration box. Example:
ssys_T12P400_T12S100_r_z010
5. You can open this job in Insight and you can download the SML file using FDM
Status.
