Material Handling for E20 Elastomer
1. Do not open the sealed bag until you are ready to load the
elastomer.
2. Do not leave the spool in an open environment.
3. Store unwrapped E20 and E20R material that is not in use in a
dry box with desiccant.
Finishing Parts Built Using Elastomer
1. Supports are removed by tearing them away from the part.
This can be done by hand or with tools such as small chisels or
pliers.
2. Supports are easier to remove when the part is warm.
3. The surface finish can be smoothed using standard files and
sandpaper. Coarser grits are recommended.
4. Gaps can be filled and surface finish improved by carefully
applying heat with a hot knife to melt filament into a part, then
sanding the surface smooth.
