Fan Speed
You might notice fan-speed increases in high-temperature environments, during high
system activity periods, or while performing an IPL (loading the operating system
software), shutting down the system, or restarting the operating system. The increase
in fan speed ensures adequate cooling under these conditions and is normal behavior.
