10.2 Basic Function Test
A basic function test checks the displays, keys, and performance of the device. For
this test, you will need the following:
Original tube set
A fluid bag (Purisol if possible)
Measuring cup with scaling (0.5 l)
Preparing the basic function testThe layout of the test and its setup are depicted in Fig. 10-1.
1. Insert the tube set.
2. Listen for the click indicating proper pressure chamber placement.
3. Hang the fluid bags onto the hooks of the bag holder and connect with
irrigation tube.
4. Insert instrument tube into measuring cup.
5. Switch device on using the power switch.
6. Select the following values:
Nominal pressure:150 mm Hg
Nominal flow: 200 ml/min
7. Press the Start/Stop key. Green Start/Stop LED is lit. The roller wheel starts to
turn.
8. Fill tube set completely with fluid.
9. Press the Start/Stop key.
