Planetary Oil Change Procedure - Models 900T, 1200T, 1400T, 1600T, and 1700TR
MAINTENANCE
Drain
1. Strongly recommended to have warmed the oil by
running the unit before doing an oil change.
2. Place a large oil pan below the rear planetary/gearbox.
3. Remove the drain plug at the fill line t-fitting. (#1,
)
4. Disconnect the vent line fitting located at the base of
the rear planetary to allow the oil to drain faster.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for the other planetary(s).
Verify that the proper amount of oil has been removed
as per chart 40
6. Complete draining will take several minutes.
Fill
1. Reconnect the vent line fittings and drain plugs at the
base of all planetarys.
2. Disconnect both fill line fittings at the oil reservoir. (#3,
)
3. To refill, pump oil into each planetary fill line hose with
a mechanical pump until oil circulates through and
starts to enter the oil reservoir and out fill line port.
4. Reconnect the fill line fittings at the oil reservoirs.
5. Wait a few minutes for the oil levels to stabilize.
6. Top up oil reservoirs through top port so that sight glass
is 3/4 full. (#4, )
