Cooling Kit
For hot climate regions it is possible to order a oil cooling system that is integrated with the final drive system. This option
is designed to circulate the oil for each planetary through a electric drive fan oil cooler. If the unit is equipped with this
cooling system in cold weather climates then it is required to remove the belts from circulating pumps. Failure to
do so may result in damage to they system.
OPTIONS: OPERATION / MAINTENANCE
Operation
The cooling kit is an integrated system that runs in tandem with the final drive system. This means that there are no prep
or operation procedures.
Maintenance
When your Supreme Stationary Feed Processor is equipped with a cooling kit the oil change procedure will be different.
With a cooling kit, oil quantities will increase approx. 10 L and vary due to line routing. Ensure oil is topped up to
appropriate levels. Refer to 40 for base oil quantities.
Drain
1. Strongly recommended to have warmed the oil by
running the unit before doing an oil change.
2. Place a large oil pan below the rear planetary and rear
planetary cooler fan filter.
3. Remove the drain plug (#1, ) from base of
the rear planetary as well as the filter element (

4. Discard old oil filter. Observe proper disposal laws
and regulations for oil, filters, etc. to protect the
environment.
5. Disconnect the vent line fitting located at the base of
the rear planetary (#2, ) to allow the oil to
drain faster.
6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for the other planetary(ies).
Verify that the proper amount of oil has been removed
as per chart 

7. Complete draining will take several minutes.
Fill
1. Reconnect the vent line fittings and drain plugs at the
base of all planetarys.
2. Install a new filter element.
3. Crimp fill line (to control flow during fill.
4. Disconnect lines #1 & #2 for cooler pump. ()
5. To refill, pump oil into line #1 with a mechanical pump
until oil circulates through and starts to flow out of line
#2.
6. Reconnect the lines to pump.
7. Wait a few minutes for the oil levels to stabilize.
8. Check that the oil reservoir is 3/4 full through the sight
glass. (#4, ) If needed top up oil reservoir
through top port or if over filled disconnect fill line and
drain until right level is reached. (#3, )
